Before huge swaths of Borneo were aggressively carved up to make way for palm-oil plantations and voracious logging, the whole island looked something like the Meratus Mountains. This 2,500sq km range in southern Kalimantan has mist-laced, river-crossed peaks, dense jungles, steep valleys and jagged karst formations. They are also heavily populated with Borneo’s indigenous people, the Dayak, whose strong religious customs play to the soundtrack of the shaman’s drum.
Itinerary, day by day

Day1
Arrival – Banjarmasin
Arrival at Syamsudinor airport, meet and greet the guide then transfer to your hotel for the check in. At the afternoon You are invited to cruise on of the most populated canal in the center of Banjarmasin City, see the children swim and play as another face of city’s life. Back to hotel and dinner at local restorant.

Day2
Floating market – Loksado
Early in the morning at 05.00 by a slow motor boat visit Lokbaintan floating market at the upper part of Martapura River, it may take 90mnts from the city center, the colorfull dressed women trade local products of fruits and vegetables. Back to hotel for breakfast, check out hotel then drive to handycrafts. 4 hrs to Loksado village and spend the night at Amandit Lodge or Wisma Loksado.

Day3
Trekking on the mounts and jungle
After breakfast trekking to Kadayang Village or by motorbike, strolling around Dayak Village and after lunch start jungle trekking through the primary forest on Meratus mountainous , spend the night at in tents .

Day4
Full day trekking ( Halau – halau Mountain)
Full day trekking through the forest again. Spend the night in tents .

Day5
Fullday Trekking (Summit Attack – Kadayang)
Summit attack to the highest peak of Meratus Mountains, trekking down back to Kadayang Village. Spend the night at Kedayang Village (simple homestay).

Day6
halfday Trekking ( Haratai – Loksado)
It is a half day trekking to Haratai Waterfall. Spend the night on a Hotel.

Day7
Loksado – Nagara
Experiencing white water bamboo raft for 3 hrs, let the raft man steer the bamboo raft as you may enjoy the scenery along the Amandit River. Driving down to Nagara Town to see the water buffalo. Driving back to Banjarmasin, arrival at night.

Banjarmasin – Departure
Breakfast at hotel and free at your own leisure till departure time for your onward flight from Banjarmasin airport to your next destination.
