Looking for an off beaten treck adventure in Borneo of Indonesia that rarely visit by tourist? You should try this tour. We will take you to the most central part of Borneo Island. Follow unpaved roads, remote villages, friendly people, pristine forests and waterfalls with fresh water.
Pick up from the hotel or airport in Palangkaraya and drive to Puruk Cahu by car. The journey will be around 8-9 hours passing villages with a combination of good and broken roads. Lunch on the way.
Arrive in Puruk Cahu, the northest city in Central Kalimantan. Check in at the hotel and take a rest. Dinner at the local restaurant.

After breakfast at the hotel drive to Saruhung Village around 3 hours with 4x4 car, you will pass several villages with mostly broken roads. Upon arrival at the village, we will have a simple welcome ceremony from the village elder. And after that we will check in and rest at the homestay.
In the afternoon we will walk around the village to see the livelihood and culture of Dayak People. We can see the rattan weaving, how to make rice wine, bone houses, traditional weapons, ect.

After breakfast we will trek to 3 waterfalls around the village, starting from the closest to the furthest. We walked in the forest and occasionally passed villager fields. Sometimes we meets native people hunting in the forest. Upon arrival at waterfall, we could enjoy the the rush of the water hitting her body. Once satisfied at one waterfall, we will continue our journey to the next waterfall.

After we were satisfied playing in the river, we returned to the village to rest. In the evening we will do traditional rituals before climbing to Bondang Hill the next day.
Rest and sleep at Homestay.
After breakfast we will start hiking to Bondang Hill, entering the virgin jungle of Borneo. The journey is getting harder uphill accompanied by the sound of forest. We can hear various sounds of birds and wild animals in the forest. Here we can also see various kinds of endemic plants that can only be found in the forests of Kalimantan. We will accompany by local guide and the shaman, we do some rituals on the way to the top of the hill.

Continue the climbing journey on Bondang Hill, and we will return directly to the village today. The journey back down usually feels faster but still tiring, we stop for a while for resting in the cool river that flows from pristine springs.

Enjoying the morning in the peaceful village and saying goodbye to the hosts and villagers, we will return to the town of Puruk Cahu. Rest in Puruk Cahu.

After breakfast, continue the journey home to the city of Palangkaraya, lunch on the way. Upon arrival in Palangkaraya we drop off at the hotel or airport. Tour end.
